Editor’s Letter
When I came to high school, I was very excited to find my passion. I always knew I wanted to be in the fashion industry, but didn’t know how to get there. I soon
realized that there was nothing fashion related at Lake Buena Vista High School. So this year, I decided to change that. I created Teen Fashion club for individuals
who want to continue into the fashion world, who like styling outfits, or even just need a friendly community to express themselves. I have had a love for writing as well as just fashion, and I wanted to share that love with
others. I hope that TFC allows for students to find their passion like I have found mine.
With Love,

Homecoming: Trending Styles and
Makeup Looks
School has started back up, football season is in full bloom, and the weather gets a little chillier. You know what that means! Homecoming! It can be quite stressful to find all the right ways to prepare. So, here are the top trending dress styles & colors to help make your
preparations easier. At LBV, our Hoco theme “The Greatest Homecoming” which consists of a bright color scheme of reds, blues, and purples. Hoco dresses are typically short with tight bodices, and either frilly or tight skirts as
well. Jewelry will typically correspond with the color of the dress. Warm/dark toned dresses are paired well with gold jewelry and cool/light toned dresses pair well with silver. We tied these routine styles with our theme with the bold colors and the
hairstyles. Our hairstyles we paired our dresses with also correspond to the dress’ necklines and jewelry.
Homecoming hairstyles typically correspond with the dress and accessories. Low neckline cuts correspond well with long hairstyles worn down. Large earrings or a flashy necklace would be more focused upon with an updo. To allow your hairstyle to stand out, opt for more simple earrings and necklace.

Slick back buns and ponytails, bubble braids, claw clips, messy braids and more are what have made up majority of 2024 hairstyles! Expression through hairstyles comes in many different ways, and we have been able to explore in multiple forms.
HAIRSTYLES: ALL HAIR TYPES
Some of the most trendy accessories are flower claw clips and bows. Some hairstyles have been displayed by multiple influencers like Ariana Grande’s SNL half-up-half-down or Sabrina Carpenter’s iconic bangs and blowout. From Y2K to grunge, these can be a great way to spice up your hair, gaining compliments and confidence!
Many haircuts to get at the salon include butterfly, shaggy, wolf, and 90s type cuts. Another way to change
up your
hair is
by adding
accessories.
These can
influence
how
different hair types are handled. This is a good thing because we get to see how different hair types can be styled with popular hair trends. This can be using your natural hair or putting in butterfly locs.
For boys, although it is very different, there are still many ways you can personalize your hair. Some of the most popular hairstyles for boys in 2024 are mullets, bleached buzz cuts, frosted tips, low taper fades, and dreads. Of course, there is also the ‘fluffy’ hair that has been present in 2024, as it carried through from the years before.
